Upload Tips
Rummij's AI vision detection systems are state of the art, employing a suite of multi-modal AI models to figure out everything in your listing picture.
AI isn't magic
As you use Rummij you will learn how to get the best results, but here are some of our tips as a team to make your uploads as efficient and effective as possible.
Tips for best AI results
- Rummij needs to separate your posts into individual items, so try to avoid overlapping
- Rummij likes to read as well as look at your overall item, so make sure any text is clearly visible
- Group similar items as Rummij can use a strong idea it has about one thing to infer what the others are likely to be if related
Tips for volume listing books
- Take a side-on picture of an entire bookshelf to maximise listing speed, but also take individual pictures of the more important / valuable items
Tips for Vinyl Records
- Lay Vinyl records out in a flat grid to get the most accuracy
- Take additional shots of the rear and record itself for a true picture of condition
Tips on influencing pricing
If you have price labels already on items (e.g. you have a physical secondhand shop) make sure these are prominently on display, as Rummij will use them to override it's best guestimate.
Tips for DVDs and Video Games
- As with books, take a top-down or side-on picture of the spines but remember to take more individual pictures of those special items
We are constantly fine-tuning our AI models so you'll see recognition become better over time. Your uploads and correction are invaluable for making this process better for everyone.
