Rush is a Canadian rock band formed in 1968, well known for their complex compositions and eclectic lyrical motifs. The album '2112', released in 1976, is one of their most iconic works, combining progressive rock elements with science fiction themes. Their music is characterized by elaborate instrumental skills, especially the virtuosic guitar work of Alex Lifeson, the distinctive bass and lead vocals of Geddy Lee, and the powerful drumming of Neil Peart, who joined the band in 1974.
